Participants will be notified of cancellations due to weather or other circumstances via the email they provided for registration.

Registrant cancellations will be accepted until the registration deadline. A 100% credit will be given for use toward the registration fees for another Central Region Early Learning Connection sponsored workshop within the same grant year of the original workshop.

DescriptionAccentuate the Positive: Assets Kids Need for Success
How do we help our kids grow up happy and well-adjusted?  Research clearly indicates what youth need now, while they are in our care, to be successful in the future as adults.  This interactive session will feature this information, as well as ways to encourage healthy development at all levels.

Session Objectives:
Help care givers broaden their goals for the children in their care, based on research on healthy development.

Provide care givers with specific information on healthy development that can be passed on to the parents of the children with whom they work.

Participants will identify 8 categories of healthy development, as identified by the Search Institute.

Participants will identify four critical traits needed for healthy development, as identified in the Circle of Courage.
