If you are looking for ways to grow your own curriculum using fall holiday-themed activities, this training is for you!  Using your understanding of child development, you will create activities which provide opportunities for learning through play that are developmentally appropriate and won’t break the bank! Halloween-themed experiences for engaged learning through play, here we come! 

Objectives:
Plan developmentally appropriate activities for preschoolers utilizing a variety of developmentally appropriate (inexpensive) materials/equipment to support:
   child choice, exploration, and independence
   children's problem solving and self-regulation
   children's health, safety, and nutrition.
   children's conversations, vocabulary, and writing skills
Opportunities to challenge and enhance children's physical motor development across all curriculum areas.
Use development/milestones to adapt learning experiences to meet the needs of each child and identify strategies for inclusion, as needed
Articulate the importance of play as a learning tool
Articulate and align the skills gained from planned activities with the Nebraska Early Learning Guidelines

Do you know how to reduce the risk of Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID) and prevent accidental suffocation? Do you know the safest way to put a baby to sleep? Do you have a safe sleep policy? If you answered NO to any of these questions, this workshop is for you. The one-hour workshop was developed by the Early Childhood Training Center and meets the requirements of Nebraska State Statute 43-2606. Everyone is at risk of shaking a baby. When a baby is shaken, the shaking can cause brain damage, life changing disabilities, and even death. This is one childhood injury that is preventable. This one-hour workshop was developed by the Early Childhood Training Center and meets the requirements of Nebraska State Statute 43-2606.

Objectives:
Define SUID and accidental suffocation/strangulation in bed
Recite the four components of Safe Sleep
Have resources to develop a Safe Sleep Policy for an early childhood program

El taller de una hora fue desarrollado por el Centro de Capacitación para la Primera Infancia y cumple con los requisitos del Estatuto del Estado de Nebraska 43-2606. Todo el mundo corre el riesgo de sacudir a un bebé. Cuando se sacude a un bebé, la sacudida puede causar daño cerebral, discapacidades que cambian la vida e incluso la muerte. Esta es una lesión infantil que se puede prevenir. Do you know how to reduce the risk of Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID) and prevent accidental suffocation? Do you know the safest way to put a baby to sleep? Do you have a safe sleep policy? If you answered NO to any of these questions, this workshop is for you. The one-hour workshop was developed by the Early Childhood Training Center and meets the requirements of Nebraska State Statute 43-2606. Everyone is at risk of shaking a baby. When a baby is shaken, the shaking can cause brain damage, life changing disabilities, and even death. This is one childhood injury that is preventable. This one-hour workshop was developed by the Early Childhood Training Center and meets the requirements of Nebraska State Statute 43-2606.

Objectives:
Define SUID and accidental suffocation/strangulation in bed
Recite the four components of Safe Sleep
Have resources to develop a Safe Sleep Policy for an early childhood program

Si respondiste NO a alguna de estas preguntas, este taller es para ti. El taller de una hora fue desarrollado por el Centro de Capacitación para la Primera Infancia y cumple con los requisitos del Estatuto del Estado de Nebraska 43-2606. Todo el mundo corre el riesgo de sacudir a un bebé. Cuando se sacude a un bebé, la sacudida puede causar daño cerebral, discapacidades que cambian la vida e incluso la muerte. Esta es una lesión infantil que se puede prevenir. ¿Sabe cómo reducir el riesgo de muerte súbita e inesperada del lactante (SUID) y prevenir la asfixia accidental? ¿Conoces la forma más segura de poner a dormir a un bebé? ¿Tiene una política de sueño seguro? Si respondiste NO a alguna de estas preguntas, este taller es para ti. El taller de una hora fue desarrollado por el Centro de Capacitación para la Primera Infancia y cumple con los requisitos del Estatuto del Estado de Nebraska 43-2606. Todo el mundo corre el riesgo de sacudir a un bebé. Cuando se sacude a un bebé, la sacudida puede causar daño cerebral, discapacidades que cambian la vida e incluso la muerte. Esta es una lesión infantil que se puede prevenir. Do you know how to reduce the risk of Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID) and prevent accidental suffocation? Do you know the safest way to put a baby to sleep? Do you have a safe sleep policy? If you answered NO to any of these questions, this workshop is for you. The one-hour workshop was developed by the Early Childhood Training Center and meets the requirements of Nebraska State Statute 43-2606. Everyone is at risk of shaking a baby. When a baby is shaken, the shaking can cause brain damage, life changing disabilities, and even death. This is one childhood injury that is preventable.
