NOTICE: Registration is not considered complete until payment is received. The registration/payment deadline is one week before the workshop date. Refund Policy: Refunds are only provided when a registration is cancelled at least one week before the workshop date. Refunds must be requested in writing. No refunds will be issued for no-shows.  Refunds will be provided if the Early Learning Connection cancels the class.  Participants will be notified of cancellations due to weather or other circumstances via the email address provided for registration.

DescriptionDescription
Research shows that executive function skills affect school readiness, school success, college graduation rates, work and life success; and these skills can be taught and encouraged at any age.  These monthly sessions (2 hour information session with a 1 hour "coaching" follow up session) focus on fun, everyday activities, including using children's books, that educators and providers can use to promote and support the development of an essential executive function skill.

Objective            
Children are primed to communicate at birth and this skill continues to develop as they grow and learn.  Communicating is much more than understanding language, speaking, reading and writing – it is the skill of determining what one wants to communicate and realizing how our communications will be understood by others.

CommentsParticipants must attend both sessions (Nov. 13 & Nov. 27) to receive an inservice hours certificate.
These sessions are being offered ONLINE via Zoom.
Please make sure you have a working camera, audio capabilities, and are prepared to engage.
If you are unable to fully participate or have too many distractions, you will not receive credit for the session.
The Zoom link will be sent two days prior to each session.
