Refund Policy: Refunds are only provided when a registration is cancelled at least one week before the workshop date. Refunds must be requested in writing. DescriptionChild abuse and neglect unfortunately happen in Nebraska.  Child care providers need to know about child abuse and neglect, how to make a report, ways to strengthen families, and how to prevent child abuse in their own child care programs.  This two-hour workshop was developed by the Early Childhood Training Center and meets the requirements of Nebraska State Statute 43-2606.

Objectives
Learn signs of child abuse and neglect
Know the process of reporting all suspected child abuse and neglect
Understand the Nebraska law for mandatory reporting
Learn ways to support and strengthen families
Comprehend the process when a provider/teacher is reported to the Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline
Identify ways providers/teachers could be at risk of being perpetrators of abuse and neglect

CommentsNebraska Department of Education Office of Early Childhood online participant requirements:
-Participant must have a working camera per participant, and audio capabilities.
-Participants who are not fully engaged, or have too many distractions, will not receive credit for the session.
-Your camera must be on for the entire training session unless the facilitator directs a break with cameras optional.
-Do not drive while attending this training. Children should not be present during the training. 
-Training may be recorded for evaluation purposes and for internal use only.  By joining, you are giving consent for this meeting to be recorded
-Join the Zoom 10 minutes prior to start time. Be on time.
-You must set up a NECPRS account BEFORE the session to receive your certificate. If you do not have a NECPRS account, use the attached instructions to guide you.  For additional help contact Dena Johnson at dena.johnson@nebraska.gov.
