Early Learning Connection Registration: Workshops: Workshop Section Details
NOTICE: Registration deadline is one week before workshop date. Participants will be notified of cancellations due to weather or other circumstances via the email they provided for registration. Registrant cancellations will be accepted until the registration deadline. A 100% credit will be given for use toward the registration fees for another Central Region Early Learning Connection sponsored workshop within the same grant year of the original workshop.

Description This workshop provides information to support young children's learning in the domain of creative arts.

Objectives: 
To Explore Creativity in Early Childhood
To Examine Development Related to Creative Arts
To Explore Music and Visual Arts In Early Childhood
To Discover Ways Children Express Themselves Through Creative Arts
To Explore Movement and Dramatic Play in Creative Arts
To Examine the Role of Materials and the Environment in Creative Arts

Core Competency:   Planning, Learning Experiences and Curriculum – Creative Arts

Required material for class: Nebraska’s Birth to Five Learning and Development Standards

CommentsNebraska Department of Education Office of Early Childhood online participant requirements:
-Participant must have a working camera per participant, and audio capabilities.
-Participants who are not fully engaged, or have too many distractions, will not receive credit for the session.
-Your camera must be on for the entire training session unless the facilitator directs a break with cameras optional.
-Do not drive while attending this training. Children should not be present during the training. 
-Training may be recorded for evaluation purposes and for internal use only.  By joining, you are giving consent for this meeting to be recorded
-Join the Zoom 10 minutes prior to start time. Be on time.
-You must set up a NECPRS account BEFORE the session to receive your certificate. For additional help contact Dena Johnson at dena.johnson@nebraska.gov.
