NOTICE: Registration is not considered complete until payment is received. The registration/payment deadline is one week before the workshop date. Refund Policy: Refunds are only provided when a registration is cancelled at least one week before the workshop date. Refunds must be requested in writing. No refunds will be issued for no-shows.  Refunds will be provided if the Early Learning Connection cancels the class.  Participants will be notified of cancellations due to weather or other circumstances via the email address provided for registration.

Description This workshop provides information to support young children's learning in the domain of social/emotional development.

Objectives:
To Discover the Sequence of Social and Emotional Development
To Explore the Areas of Social Relations, Self-regulation, and Sense of Self
To Discuss Strategies to Promote Positive, Healthy Relationships
To Examine Social Relationships in Early Childhood
To Discover how Children Develop Knowledge of Families and Communities
To Examine Environments to Support Social and Emotional Development

Core Competency:  Planning, Learning Experiences and Curriculum – Social and Emotional

Required material for class: Nebraska’s Birth to Five Learning and Development Standards

Certificate will be automatically uploaded to registrant's Nebraska Early Childhood Professional Record System (NECPRS) account.

  • Must have a working camera, and audio capabilities.
  • Your camera must be on for the entire training session.
  • One person per camera.
  • If you are unable to fully participate or have too many distractions, you will not receive credit for the training.
  • Do not drive while attending this training. Children should not be present during the training.
  • Training may be recorded for evaluation purposes and for internal use only. By joining, you are giving consent for this meeting to be recorded.
  • Join the Zoom 10 minutes prior to start time. Be on time.
