Description
This class emphasizes the importance of emotional intelligence and building strong relationships through effective communication focusing on both the business outcome and the emotional needs of individuals.   Leaders work eight hours—480 minutes—often more, every day. During that time, they face the challenge of communicating and connecting with the people they lead through conversations that usually focus on business goals. Good leaders also use them as opportunities to acknowledge peoples’ feelings and concerns by connecting on a deeper level.

Connections Through Conversations in Leaderships explores that deeper connection, the head and heart—the whole person—and helps learners gain insights and learn techniques and skills to increase their confidence in successfully navigating those “in the moment” conversations, even the tough ones.

Objectives:
Conduct conversations that achieve their intended business goals.
Communicate and respond in ways that meet the unique personal needs of team members and others.
Recognize and react to emotions (theirs and others’) present in work situations.
Use a technique to provide meaningful, supportive feedback.
