DescriptionThis training provides early childhood educators with practical strategies to record accurate and objective observations in the early childhood environment. Participants will explore how high-quality observations connect to the Nebraska Birth to Five Learning and Development Standards (ELG’s) and can be used to support child development, instructional planning, and family engagement. Through interactive activities, participants will practice writing observations, distinguishing fact from opinion, and linking observations to ELG domains to inform child progress and outcomes.

Objectives:

?Utilize the ELG observations to support children’s growth and development
?Use observation data effectively to communicate with families and inform instructional decisions
