DescriptionThis workshop provides information to support young children’s learning in the area of language and literacy.

Objectives:
To discover factors that influence children’s literacy development
To examine the importance of oral communication in literacy development
To explore the role of the adult in language and literacy development
To discover effective techniques for reading with children
To examine the role of the environment in language and literacy development
To explore activities that strengthen literacy development
