NOTICE: Registration deadline is one week before workshop date. Participants will be notified of cancellations due to weather or other circumstances via the email they provided for registration. Registrant cancellations will be accepted until the registration deadline. A 100% credit will be given for use toward the registration fees for another Central Region Early Learning Connection sponsored workshop within the same grant year of the original workshop.

DescriptionPlay is Fun! Play is Important! Learning through exploration and child-initiated PLAY provides young children the opportunity to gain deeper understandings of concepts across multiple academic and development domains. Intentional and appropriate adult-child interaction during play is vital for increasing learning outcomes.

Participant objectives:
gain a deeper understanding of why play is important.
understand the characteristics of true play.
plan for implementation of true play through use of their environment, daily routine, and interactions.
