Description | | This module training will focus on how to teach social emotional behaviors in young children including
problem solving skills and emotional literacy.
Participants will:
1. Be able to discuss the life-long outcomes that come from intentionally teaching social emotional skills in early childhood.
2. Be able to define emotional literacy and identify activities that build this skill in young children.
3. Understand why children need to learn to control emotions and will identify strategies to teach self-regulation skills to infants, toddlers, and young children.
4. Understand how to teach, provide opportunities to practice, and ensure that children can effectively use problem-solving strategies.
5. Make a plan for implementing strategies they learned in the training.
